Christ, Whose Glory Fills the Sky

Christ, whose glory fills the skies,
Christ, the true, the only Light,
Sun of Righteousness, arise,
Triumph o’er the shades of night;
Dayspring from on high, be near;
Day-star, in my heart appear.

Dark and cheerless is the morn
Unaccompanied by Thee;
Joyless is the day’s return
Till Thy mercy’s beams I see;
Till they inward light impart,
Glad my eyes, and warm my heart.

Visit then this soul of mine,
Pierce the gloom of sin and grief;
Fill me, Radiancy divine,
Scatter all my unbelief;
More and more Thyself display,
Shining to the perfect day.

-Charles Wesley

"But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall." Malachi 4:2

  2. Hello Sarah,How are you doing? So excited to have the beginnings of summer and having the windows opened and the cool breeze coming in. I just find that these older writings of our Fathers in the faith bless and encourage me so much! We need to read them and ponder why they still feel fresh and alive!
    He lives and keeps my heart beating; My Lord, My Jesus!
    Blessings, Roxy
