I split the recipe between two smaller pie plates, so that I had one to share with my mom. It is a truly delicious recipe; the perfect combination of sweet and salty!
Sweet Sarah, I love pear pie, but have never added shredded cheese to it. Now I am intrigued {{smiles}} I will have to try this recipe since my husband enjoys pear pie and cheese.

ReplyDeleteI used sharp cheddar vs mild cheddar because its what I had on hand was so good. Will try again with regular cheddar just like yours. Thank you for these wonderful easy recipes. God Bless~
ReplyDeleteMy mom made this pie and I had forgotten about it. It tasted exactly like I remembered! Delicious❤️
ReplyDeleteLike your mom, I discovered this in a Taste of Home magazine. My daughter thought it would be disgusting and it has become her favourite. It also works really good to substitute the pears for apples.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this suggestion! I will have to try substituting the pears with apples, it sounds like a wonderful combination.
