When our daughter sees that spending time daily in prayer and Bible reading is important to us, she too is making prayer a priority now. Which truly blesses my heart. : )

This verse is one that my mom often repeated to me over the years "And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up." Deuteronomy 6:6-7

I have also been very blessed to find wonderful books like "God Bless Our Bedtime Prayers". It is a great way to encourage little ones in the ways of the Lord on a level they can understand.

May the LORD bless you as you teach your precious little one about Jesus!

SarahSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14970258840708111494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4346673806632037849.post-80534502012267551202018-07-02T13:56:02.996-07:002018-07-02T13:56:02.996-07:00That is wonderful advice, Mary! Just even a little bit at a time—unhurried—as she comes and goes from your lap (as toddlers will). Or as a look book during church. And as always, we mamas pray for our children at all ages. When the kids were growing up, I had a specific prayer day for each one for the days of the week. There are seven of them ages 27-42. We have four daughters and three sons.maryhallchiles.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07163441885545952495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4346673806632037849.post-67179366394050730632018-07-02T02:37:25.855-07:002018-07-02T02:37:25.855-07:00Hello Sarah, first of all, thank you for your beau...Hello Sarah, first of all, thank you for your beautiful blog ! I often read it and find myself pacified. I never write a comment because I'm French and if I read english with no problem, writing in english is not my forte. But reading what you wrote on this prayerbook, I was wondering... You said your daughter is 3 1/2. How did you pray with her when she was younger? I have a small daughter who is 14 months old. We do a family prayer with her before we go to bed but I find myself at loss when I try to pray with her or to speak of God to her. I would love to but I don't know how to proceed because she is so small. Would you have some input on this subject ? Thank you and sorry for all the mistakes .... My kids are adults now and this post reminded me of that time in our lives. Thanks for sharing a reminder that at the end of the day, we, too, can cast all our cares on Him. maryhallchiles.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07163441885545952495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4346673806632037849.post-78992732404603497212018-07-01T13:04:47.491-07:002018-07-01T13:04:47.491-07:00Thank you so much for your review.
